The Indie Gathering International Film Festival (TIG) was founded in 1996, originally operating under the name North Coast Networking. Created by Ray Szuch, the event was launched with the focus of highlighting independent filmmakers and giving them an opportunity to network with other film professionals throughout the region. With the addition of a competitive film festival, it grew to become the internationally recognized event it is today.
Held every August in the Cleveland, Ohio area, The Indie Gathering showcases over one hundred films of all lengths and genres, highlighting the true passion and achievements of independent filmmakers from around the world. The festival's mission is to inspire and encourage filmmakers through a competitive showcase and offer a networking opportunity unlike any other for the film industry.
The event features three screening rooms, a convention, film lectures and panel discussions, live competitions for actors, stunt people and FX makeup artists, networking parties, an award ceremony, and so much more.
The Indie Gathering was previously selected one of the Top 25 Film Festivals in the World by MovieMaker Magazine, selected as the Best Festival for Networking. With its continued growth and additions, it's not hard to see why attendees see The Indie Gathering as a truly one of a kind experience.
